CIS & NEASC Re-Accredited

We are excited to announce that after a two and a half year process, the school has been re-accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

The two accreditation organizations, CIS and NEASC, have recognized the progress DIS has made as an organization since the last evaluation in March 2019. In their report, they commended the efforts and dedication demonstrated by our various staff groups in their collective efforts to enhance the overall quality of our school as an international educational institution. With the accreditation from NEASC, our High School Diploma is recognised by universities in the United States and some universities in Europe, allowing students with this qualification to also continue their education in the USA.

The accreditation process included a preliminary team visit in March 2023, Team Evaluation visits in both September 2023 and 2024, as well as the submission of very comprehensive school Team Evaluation reports. It was a lengthy process that was completed with the support of all key stakeholders within the community.

The successful re-accreditation corroborates the high quality of the teaching and learning environment we offer at DIS. Most importantly, it means that students at DIS are being taught in a professionally reflective environment where they are safe, secure, and are offered the best possible support.
