On Saturday, 10 August we celebrated our new group of Grade 1 students at their “Zuckertütenfest”!
A total of 33 students with 14 different nationalities met their classmates, teachers and saw their classrooms for the first time.
Starting Grade 1 marks a new chapter in the life of a child and often comes with a lot of mixed emotions, not only for students but also for parents. This celebration was a wonderful opportunity to welcome all of our new students as well as those who were previously in the DIS kindergarten. As per the German tradition, the first graders received a “Zuckertüte” filled with small items like school accessories, sweets and other goodies. It was clear that the young students were very proud to carry their cones. We wish them all the best for their academic journey ahead.
